Personality

Rough, scary, and somehow wild. Those were the usual three words that people think if they got asked about their first impression of him. People tended to avoid him at all cost and since his face is kind of frightening, usually some guy challenged him for a fight during his middle until high school days. But actually, he isn't like that. It's true that his vibe is kind of wild and rough, but he isn't scary. He just found that socializing with others was a hard thing to do.

But, after he got recruited by a modeling agency and joined an indie rock band, he became more popular and people started to approach him, especially girls. Yet, since Dane has a trust issue (due to his 'family' issues), it wasn't easy to just befriend anyone that got close to him. However, being an amateur model and a band member helped him in boosting his self-esteem.

Despite his looks, Dane is very considerate and gentle. Those traits of him often helped him as a doctor. He's also a good listener, although he isn't confident whether his advice would help them or not.

After meeting Erena, gradually, he changed to a better person. He's no longer trying to distance himself from the society. He also becomes more friendly and approachable in many ways, even outside of the hospital where he worked.

Trivia

After he quitted his band back when he was a university student, he plays guitar just as a hobby.

Now, Ellie is his utmost priority, period. But, he felt anxious from time to time, since there will be a point where a 'dad' can't help her, which made him think that he probably should find a 'mother' for her.

Dane is fluent in English, Japanese, and Bahasa Indonesia; while Ellie is only fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, since back when they lived in Boston, they used 70% English and 30% Bahasa Indonesia.
